I do this for fun, and this is a free add-on, do not expect a professional grade stuff, if I could do that well I'd sure as hell be getting paid for this. So enjoy it and if you don't like it don't play it, remember you only wasted your time, not your money.

WARNING SPOILERS BELOW:

Hints and Reasons
____________________________________________________________________

1. Vindication

This mission is easy, fly to the target and first target the Shilka on the southern edge of the base. After the AA armor is destroyed the planes and helo are easy to take out. Then simply fly back to base.

This signifies the begining of the Gulf War, on this date and time the first air strikes take place during the real war.

2. Supportless

Keep in mind during the course of this mission to target AA as soon as possiable. Targets 2 and 3 both have AA armor, target one only has tanks and infantry. At target one attack the tanks and the trucks on the edge of the city, once the objective has been completed move on to the next, save your ammo. Repeat for the other two bases, try to conserve your heavy weapons. Return to safe airspace after the mission is over.

During the real war various supply and utilities bases were destroyed early on. That is the basis for this mission, the reason the player is in a helo instead of a plane is simple, I hate flying those A-10's

3. Fire From Above

This mission is about timing, if you spend to much time circling the tanks move into town and destroy all units and you fail the mission. fly low and target the tanks firing and reacquiring new targets as quickly as possiable, the first run is the best. Return to safe airspace once the tanks are no longer.

This is to continue with the storyline of the air war, you are supposed to be over Kuwait during this, the point is to save your men. You fail this mission if they die because of the small amount of U.S. causualties in the real war.

4. Dusk

You need to place the mines in locations that will take out the enemy while at the same time allow your law soldier engough time and space to attack them if one gets by. Use satchel charges to stop those whom may get through your mine field, the law soldier is a last resort. Hidden by some rocks to the west of the road near the starting point is an ammo box with more mines and charges, use them. Work quickly to get the trap set and your men moved to a safe location before they arrive.

This mission isn't to go along with the events of the real war, but as to point out that th epublic dosen't always know what is going on. The player in this mission Miller, is supposed to become the unknown hero this is his introduction basicly.

5. Shadow Killer

Use the hummer to drive up the hills to the south of the target area. Get as close to the town as you can, and find a good field of fire (watch out for patrols while doing this). Once in position locate the target (by the distintive hat that he wears). Kill with one shot, after that the general drops to the ground and the tanks and troops go nuts. The more shots you take depending on your firing location the better chance a tank will lop a shell at you.

Yet another un-offical mission done by Miller. Miller's role in this campaign is to be the biggest, his missions are usually the key pins to larger more important points during th game. This mission is to get some long range sniper rifle action into the game and get into the whole assaination aspect of military missions. (I admit the name is deciving the mission takes place during the day)

6. Civil Duty

This mission is dependant on speed, the main problem is the AA units. There ar two Shilkas; one in the mountains and the other at the base itself. You can avoid the one in the mountains by flying low, the othet you must deal with, spare no ordiance destroying it. After the AA is gone focus on the tanks moving south, if they reach the town the mission is over. the secondary objective is not required, it is just a Scud and a BMP.

This mission continues along with the air campaign of the real war. The civilians count on you to destroy the tanks, hence the title. I am unaware of any mission like this durin the real war, but I needed to add some varity.

7. Convoy

This mission is easy, drive to the dock and transport the troops to the area cleared in the pervious mission. The only concern you should have is with the RPG soldiers hiding in the rocks by the foothills of the mountians and the handful of troops in the city.

This mission is designed to introduce the infantry aspect of the campaign, although the real war didn't use a whole lot of infantry.

8.Hold your Ground

Take one more law from the ammo truck before the enemy is in range. Once they are use your rockets to destroy the BMP's the other law soldiers are terriable. Rearm you self with M16 mags and engage the infantry, once enough of them have been destroyed the rest flee.

I enjoy this mission, due to the fact that the BMP's will reach the base if you do not dispose of them. This mission is supposed to be the intro to the land war fought by the troops in the real war. They were used where it was inpractial to use tanks.

9. Sand in the Winds

You are equipped with an M60, it sucks unless you are prone. move ahead and find a covered spot witha good field of view befire the enemy is engaged. Use your M60 to attack large groups of infantry just as the fighting begins, you are supposed to be the cover fire for the troops moving in to the town. Watch for the civilians! More enemies move in from the east, but are easily disposed of.

This mission is the first of few strike infanty missions. There is no real corrilation to this mission and the real war.

10. Push

Use your mortar rounds to attack the armor, thus the abrams tanks can then move into the toen without incident. Mortars are hard to aim, but once you get the hang of it the enemy will have little chance.

This mission is a gateway to the next several mission which involve the town you seized. I admit this is a difficult mission, but I gave the player mortar rounds because no one else seems to do so.

11. Dark Frontiers

An enemy approaches from the west and comes down the hill, kill him quickly. move to the are by the tanks and hold your position, the second bomber will aproach from different vectors each time. Shoot him quickly, because if he is allowed near the tanks he explodes (suicide bombers).

This mission was too easy in the original release. So I made it more difficult to protect the tanks. Also the tanks blow up if the emeny is allowed nearby. The second bomber was moved to approach from the north east but I decided that was to simple also. He now has a radius in which he may be, around 200 meters, thus he may show up at the same time as the first man (which would mean that the player is occupied and the tanks go boom). I did this because I can :)

12. Land War

This mission begins before it was scheduled, the attack on the tanks by the bombers causes the mission to be pushed forward. Order your men into the tanks and move to your targets. Do not charge the first town, stay back and engage from afar. Avoid targeting the repair truck in the middle of town. After the infantry and armor is gone, repair if needed and move to the second target. The targets are in the city itself, thus you are required to move in close to finish the job.

This mission is set on the date that Nato forces attacked Iraq with tanks. The Abrams tanks out-classed everything Iraq had, I could have used a desert skinned T55 but I wanted the campaign to be more challanging than that! This mission also introduces the tank commander.

13. Dig In

This mission is a shortly after "Land War," some support has arrived in the second target city but no infantry or heavy armor execpt your squad. Enemies attack from every angle exect the south. The helos are no threat to you, they are destroyed by vulcans quickly. Attack everything possiable, but focus on the tanks from the north. Once the tanks main gun is black they are no longer an immediate threat and move on to the next target. Once all dangerous target have been destroyed destroy the tanks cruising around with their main gun pointing to the ground.

This mission was to be differant that the others, a defensive position is taken. The heavy armor moving in prevent you from taking a passive role in this mission, without leadership y our squad will be destroyed. This mission shows how strong the Abrams tank is, can you count how many times you are hit?

14. Stealth
Take the car and move close to the camp. Aproach the camp on foot, if you screw up the alarm goes off and the mission is a bust. The crew of the BMP is inside, but in safe mode. Your first target is the BMP's gunner, one shot kill otherwise he ducks inside and you don't stand a chance. Once he is dead stay put and take out the rest of the infanty. Once the area is clear move down the hill and take a RPG launcher and dispose of the BMP.

This mission is supposed to be a filler mission for Miller; he is currently stuck at a safe house with nothing to do. This mission ads nothing to the plot but unless you know what to do the BMP is a huge threat. I admit I don't like the long drive down the dirt road, but I also didn't want to start the player to close to the action. This mission is designed to make the player act like a real soldier; as in once you see the BMP has it's crew aboard you have only one shot, you need to make the shot count and know which head to shoot at.

15. Gazd Must Fall

Order you squad to boad the APC and move to the rally point to the east of Gazd. While you wait for the rest of the ivasion force rearn yourself with a Law launcher from the M113. Also if it suits you, a new primary weapon if your sick of the M16. Move up the hill, target armor contacts with your rockets and your law soldier, try to protect the Abrams, Once their main guns are black they are of no use to the attack force. Once the tanks are destroyed or unable to fire move in close to attack infantry, keep down coming over the hill your head is a prime target. Watch for soldiers trying to flank you on the right side. Once near the city one of the last targets you face is a Shilka, use a Law or RPG is destroy it.

This mission is important to the geography of the war, the border is supposed to be in this area. In th real war Nato forces were attacking Iraq's territories about this time, thus the player needs to secure the entire area of Kuwait in the game. Personally this is my favorite mission of the campaign.

16. Heavy Armor

Move your tank squad to the enterance of the air base and attack the Shilka before hte air suppor arrives. The air support is destoyed soon after anyway by infantry AA, but it does attack some of the armor on the northern end of the base. The southern half has little in the terms of armor, dispose of it quickly and move on to the north end. Engage the northern end as far way as you can, keeping in mind that there is a repair truck at the southern site (If you didn't destory it.) Move to the gunner's position to attack the targets, because of the distance you are unable to see if you have a clear shot from the command seat. Once the bulk of the armor is gone move in closer and finsh the job.

This mission is the part of the main bulk of assults in the ral war that lead to the cease fire. This sets the tone fo the final mission of the war "Chokehold"

17. Medivac

Follow your orders and you will die. Don't fly directly at your target zone, it makes you fly over mountain where AA can attack you, instead fly low and in valleys. Pick up your objective and fly to the bse in the same manner as before.

This mission is to show that if one follows order they will sometimes die, it also shows that other combat has been taking place other than that which the player has seen.

18. Chokehold

Get to the outskirts of the target compound and attack from afar, the othet tank squaads move in quickly and are heavly damaged, they are the distraction while your squad stays as far away as possiable and fires on the enemy. Once the bulk of the enemy armor is destroyed or damaged move in for the kill, use heat rounds to polish off the infantry and seek out any hiding armor units. Once the city is secured the mission and war is ended.

This mission is one of the final attacks that causes a cease fire to be called. The reason I made this a tank mission and not a infantry mission was due to the fact that most of the fighting during the real war was done by tanks and aircraft, I added some infantry mission to add some exictement.

19. Chemical Warfare

Watch out for the patrolling tank, it moves from one side of the island to the other. Once it moves away from the first target move in and use bushes for cover. Take our gaurds on the towers first, then move to the front gate where a single soldier is stationed, deal with him. a small squad partols the area around the compound, dispose of them before moving on to you main objective, blow up the scuds. Rearm before leaving the base. Move to the next site using the beach, leave the car (it's there to tempt you). Watch for the tank patrol while on your hike. the second base has much more infantry. Take out the tower gaurds first, including the one in the blue tower! Sneak into the base and stay hidden, if the alarm goes off you in deep sh*t. Get in a T80 tank and begin a rampage, detroy your target and anything else you wish. Then drive the tank to the shore, carefull on the hill down; water and T80's don't agree.

This mission is to show there is still a conflict in Iraq to this day. The time chosen for this mission was during the media's hype of biological waepons in Iraq. Citizens of America were rather worried about the potential that Iraq had. This mission is the reason why we fought and why Iraq is a place of such controvesy today, hence the title Biological Warfare and not Oil War.
